yep, you heard me right - i'm going back to the kingdom hall.
my reason for going back is a very simple one.
recently, after i evicted the book study from my mother's home, some of the jw's came to pick up the chairs.
Put a huge note in the box saying, "Subject To Change" my right!

.
viv's post, 'giggling in dark hallways' prompted me to ask this ?, 'what are some of the craziest and and daring actions you pulled off as a jw?'.

Thanks Shamus and Greven. What's with these saugages Sham? Greven, what was your reaction when you saw the German? Did he share his experience?
I guess I should have also asked, what outrageous actions did you ever pull off in the presence of others?

first i would like to thank you all for your courage to tell the truth about " the truth" and watchtower, and by helping ones like my family get so much information about witnesses.. just a quick introduction: we came to canada from yugoslavia 12 years ago and two years after we were baptized as a jws.
because of that , our relatives in canada shunned us for betraying ortodox faith .
now 10 years later we are shunned by our jw "friends" even thou we are not disfellowshiped nor did we disassociated ourselves.after reading information on this board about un, paedophilia and inhumane treatment of many who just did not agree with some practices, we just couldn`t go to meetings anymore.
Vic. Greetings and welcome. Your English is good, so that should not prevent you from jumping in and speaking up.
What part of Canada may I ask?

alas, some expensive witness traditions have ended - like food service at assemblies or mailed subscriptions.. however, since 1996, the society has had a tradition of begging for money in the november watchtower.. i think they hope rich witnesses will think about re-balancing their portfolios or making changes before the end.
of the taxable year in december.. .
lawyers and new printing facilities ( to be on-line in 2005) cost a lot of money, so look for their appeal soon.. .
Shamus, it is correct.

i feel so down.
i am beginning to think i am the kind of person that just walks away from their problems, instead of confronting them.
when people hurt me, i will hardly ever show it, voice my feelings or anything.
Viv, even if you never played golf, the walk and scenery is great. Of course you can always take a riding cart. The smell of fresh cut grass and the beautiful colors of green makes you appreciate how nature makes you feel at home. If you never played and know someone, just ask to tag along. The bars are great. As I've said, I've spent many a hours in golf bars.

Viv, how about a game of golf? A nice walk, chit chat, and then drinks later or we can carry a bottle of Gin and drink along the way? I've done it many a times! It does wonders for the soul. Either way, drinks will be available.

hello this is my first post and i wanted to introduce myself so here goes.. my name is lainey, and i have not been to the meetings for about 4 years now.. i am 28 and work as a doctor in a big city university hospital as a sho.. also for my sins, i am cassies little sis, and i am staying with him for a little while, as i am signed off sick for the next month with a stress related disorder.. after the death of my older bro and my dad within the past few months, i started suffering from terrible nightmares, most of them connected in some way to my witness upbringing.. me and cassie have talked for some length and he suggested that i spend some time having a look on this site and meeting others who have had similar issues to face in life.. i hope you are all are better listeners than cassie, who tends to fall asleep when i am in the middle of talking to him.
(brothers!!!
) btw he hates being called cassie lol.. anyway i am not a big talker, so i probably wont post a lot, however i am going to scout around for a while.. thanks .
Greetings Lainey or should I say, 'What's Up Doc?'
